Security Awareness - Testing and Assurance
Security Coaching
Security Coaching is personal guidance on the work floor that translates policies and procedures into actual employee behavior.
- Coaching on the work floor, not just in the training room
- Focused on concrete behavior, not just knowledge
- Deployable structurally or specifically following an incident
How Security Coaching Works at Cocoon
Employees often know what the rules are, but do not apply them in practice. Training changes knowledge, but not automatically behavior.
Cocoon coaches on the work floor itself by shadowing, providing real-time feedback, and conducting targeted discussions where necessary after an incident or findings from previous tests. Coaching can also be used to support security ambassadors within the organization, ensuring that desired behavior remains anchored even when Cocoon is not present.
The result is behavior that noticeably changes, rather than just knowledge imparted on paper, and an organization that is increasingly capable of identifying and discussing deviations independently.

Frequently asked questions
What Does Security Coaching Cost?
The costs depend on the size of your organization, the frequency, and whether coaching is implemented on an ongoing or ad-hoc basis. Following an intake, Cocoon will provide a tailored proposal.
When is Security Coaching utilized?
It is often deployed following findings from a test or Continuous Security Testing, after an incident, or systematically in conjunction with a Business Awareness Program.
What is the difference between Security Coaching and a workshop?
A workshop is a group session at a fixed time. Security Coaching is individual or small-scale guidance on the work floor itself, often ongoing.
Does Cocoon also work with security ambassadors within the organization?
Yes. Coaching can be utilized to train and support internal ambassadors, ensuring that desired behavior is sustained even when Cocoon is not present.
